USA 250 Can Sleeve Insulator

Please note that this design uses a technique that may not be for beginners… (or so one beginner told me, lol)

Print the Can Sleeve and Lid models first, THEN read the forming instructions, and then proceed to print the 250 Art Panel/s 

Forming Instructions

1. Remove the 250 Art Panel from the hot print bed immediately after printing.
2. Quickly wrap it around a “cold” can.
3. Secure with painter's tape if needed.
4. Hold in place for 3–5 minutes while the PLA cools.

Tip: I do the forming quick and then I get the edges of the 250 art panel lined up in the side channels of the Can Sleeve, and then slide the panel down so it is seated in the bottom channel of the Can Sleeve (see main photos), then screw the cap on all the way and then push the top of the panel inward so that the lip on the cap acts as the "top-channel" retaining the entire panel. Then leave it overnight and it will hold the new form well. This technique allows for vibrant graphics that can be printed quickly with minimal waste. If you are a little crafty you will have no problem but if you are looking for a “push print and be done” this might not be for you. The results are pretty cool though if you are up for it. Enjoy!
