Description
This is a 3D modeled replacement fan for the Vents TT100 extractor.
The model was created based on the original fan's geometry, with the aim of producing a 3D printable component to be used as a replacement in case of breakage, wear, or damage to the blades.
The fan features:
- conical central body;
- central hole for motor shaft housing;
- radiate side blades;
- optimized geometry for 3D printing;
- robust structure to ensure good mechanical resistance.
Compatibility
The model is designed for extractor:
Vents TT100
Before final assembly, it is still recommended to carefully check:
- fan's outer diameter;
- central hole diameter;
- overall height;
- rotation direction;
- internal space available in the extractor body.
Small differences between versions or production batches of the extractor might require minor modifications or finishing.
Important notes
This model is not an original Vents spare part, but a reproduction made for 3D printing.
After printing, minor manual finishing might be required, especially in the central hole area or on the blade tips, to ensure a correct fit with the motor shaft and the extractor body.
I recommend installing the fan and initially running it at low speed or for a few seconds, checking for any vibrations, rubbing, or misalignments.
Recommended materials
For functional use, I recommend durable and not too fragile materials:
- PETG: good choice for testing and light use;
- ABS / ASA: better thermal resistance;
- PA / Nylon: recommended for increased strength;
- PA12CF: recommended for a stiffer and more robust version.
I do not recommend PLA for continuous use or in hot environments, as it may deform over time.
Recommended print settings
Indicative settings:
Layer height: 0.16 / 0.20 mm
Perimeters: 4 or more
Infill: 40% / 70%
Top/Bottom layers: 5 or more
Supports: if necessary, depending on the chosen orientation
Recommended material: PETG, ABS, ASA, PA12CF
To increase the robustness of the blades, I recommend using more walls/perimeters instead of relying solely on infill.
Printing tips
For a more stable print:
- orient the part to reduce vibrations and supports;
- ensure good bed adhesion;
- use brim or anti-warping discs if printing with technical materials;
- check balance after printing;
- remove any strings or imperfections from the blades.
With materials like PA12CF, it is recommended to use a well-prepared print bed, adequate temperature, and brim/discs in critical areas to prevent warping.
Warning
As this is a rotating fan, it is important to print the part with appropriate parameters and always check its solidity before use.
A poorly printed, unbalanced, or fragile part could break during operation.
