Description

This is a remix of Rolfi's W603 T7 mount, modified to fit the Tiger Sport 660 as well as some other changes (made it shorter, accomodate a 12mm washer & made some spacers).
A big thanks to Rolfi for posting the fusion 360 file !

Over the past year I've done over 4,000 miles with this mount on my Tiger 660 & it's working really well.

You need:

  • 6 or 7 x m4 20mm bolts & nuts (I used 6) to clamp the 2 parts together
  • 1 x m4 25mm bolt & a 12mm washer to screw the assembly to the Carpuride W603
  • A dab of threadlock to stop the bolts coming loose.
  • A Carpuride W603 !

When clamping the 2 pieces together over the screen handle there is a little bit of leeway on positioning - so you can angle the screen a bit. Don't get too hung up getting about the 2 pieces in perfect alignment - what matters is that the clamp is secure & doesn't rotate.

NOTE: To minimise wobble\vibration, I stronly recommend you make the following reinforcements:

  • Use the PUIG reinforcement support kit & put an extra washer behind the 2 upper mounting points to increase tension & support.
  • If you don't have the puig kit (or even if you do), you can try the screen handle spacer stl's I've included (which you can fit above & below the handle - as needed) to stop the screen dropping (fit below the handle) & tension the screen handle to reduce movement (fit above the handle).
As an example look at the yellow pieces in the pics.
If needed, alter the z height of the spacer in your slicer to get the height you want.
  • Remove the washer\spacer (aka shoulder washer) from the lower screen mounting, & just use a plain washer instead - this reduces play from the bottom of the screen.

These changes does mean it takes more effort to move the screen position, but imho I recommend that once you've found the best screen position for you, then leave it there ! (for me at 5'10" the best position with the puig touring screen, is about midway)
