Description
Classic problem: portable AC hose keeps the blind from closing, and sleeping with light coming in is rough. 🌙
I designed this two-part adapter that fits at the bottom of a roller blind. My window opening is wide, so the design uses a wood panel in the middle to fill the gap — no need to print a massive single piece.
How it works:
- Two printed parts clip onto the window sides
- A custom-cut wood panel slides into the middle slots
- AC hose connects directly to the oval opening
- Blind closes over the top normally ✅
Assembly:
The part that slides into the window track are 15mm and 12mm wide — check your track width before printing.
Recommended material: PETG or PETG-CF. AC exhaust air can get pretty warm, and PLA may warp over time. PETG handles the heat just fine for this use case. PETG-CF is a great option if you want extra stiffness on the thinner walls. 🌡️
