Customizable Birthday Train

Are you looking for a birthday train for yourself, your child, or as a gift for another child?

Then you are in the right place! This project includes everything you need: a locomotive, a wagon for top parts such as numbers, candles, hearts or other decorations, and a second wagon for storing smaller items like sweets or similar little surprises.

Everything is included in one complete project.

Features

• The project includes colored versions. The colors can easily be changed directly in the project.
• Colorless / single-color versions are also included for easier and faster printing.
• The locomotive has one hole on top, and the large wagon has one or two holes for attaching numbers, candles or other decorations.
• The project includes all numbers from 0–9, as well as a heart and an adapter for candles with a diameter of 22 mm, so they can be attached more securely to the train.
• You can personalize the train by adding your own name or the child’s name almost anywhere on the train. A sample plate is also included for this.
• If you do not want anything on top of your train, you can either close the holes or use the included hole fillers. This is also useful if you change your mind later.
• Letters for the top of your train are not included in this project! The “T” shown in the photos is only an example. Unfortunately, letters have to be added by yourself. Please see the section “Create Your Own Top Parts” below.

If you want to print the full train in color, consisting of 1 locomotive and 2 × 2 wagons, I recommend printing everything on one plate to save filament and printing time. This plate is already included in the project.

Create Your Own Top Parts

It is also possible to create your own custom top parts, meaning objects that can be placed on top of the train.

You can either print a separate object and glue it onto one of the included hole fillers, or design and print a complete custom model with the hole filler already integrated.

The dimensions for  the hole filler are:

• Diameter: 20 mm
• Height: 15 mm
   

Although this train was partly developed with the help of AI, I created and refined many parts myself. The train connections, the adaptive options on top of the train, and the entire coloring and painting setup were all developed by me.
