Are you a mountain enthusiast, a hiker, or simply love breathtaking landscapes? This 3D topographical model captures the essence of Mont Blanc, Europe's highest peak. Thanks to accurate processing of geographical data, the sharp ridges, perennial glaciers, and steep valleys of this iconic massif come to life on your print bed with extraordinary realism.
[Design Features]
This version (V2) has been specifically optimized for two-color printing (Black and White). The sharp color contrast perfectly simulates the alternation between bare rock and perennial snow/glaciers, creating an almost photographic and extremely elegant visual effect, ideal as a display piece, tactile artwork, or gift for mountaineering enthusiasts.
[Print Specifications and Technical Data]
The print profile has been accurately tested and calibrated to offer you maximum definition:
- Recommended printer: Optimized for Bambu Lab P1S / X1C series with Bambu Textured PEI Plate.
- Filaments required (Multi-color): Bambu PLA Basic (White) and Bambu PLA Basic (Black).
- Layer Height: 0.16 mm (Optimal Profile). This reduced height is essential to ensure smooth contour lines and impeccable definition on the mountain slopes.
- Estimated print time: Approximately 9 hours and 16 minutes total.
- Total color changes: 117 changes automatically managed via Bambu AMS.
⚠️ [ATTENTION DURING PRINTING - READ CAREFULLY]
Due to the nature of the model and the frequent color changes (117 in total), there are some critical aspects to keep in mind to avoid failures:
- Filament waste (Purges and Tower): The actual model weighs approximately 132 grams, but a total of almost 199 grams of filament is used. This means that approximately 67 grams of material will be lost between the prime tower and the expelled filament.
- Risk of jamming (Filament Jam): Extremely close and frequent color changes can stress the AMS. During my tests, this frequency caused a temporary blockage/jam of the filament. Ensure that your rollers and PTFE tubes glide perfectly.
- Waste chute cleaning ("Poop" / Purge waste): Pay very close attention to expelled filament waste at the back of the printer. Given the quantity of purges in a short period, the chute can fill up quickly. Regularly check and clean the waste area, otherwise accumulated waste risks backing up, getting stuck in the nozzle area, and causing print failure.
