Description

🦴🦴🦴CHECK MY NEW ANATOMICAL MODELS: KNEE and SHOULDER 🦴🦴🦴

The project

This life-size 3D model is a realistic human hand skeleton. It was created starting from a real CT scan to keep the true shape of the bones. After cleaning up the scan, custom joints were added directly into the design. The result is a highly accurate model that prints in one single piece and moves just like a real hand.

⚙️ Print-in-Place Kinematics & Anatomy
Unlike standard static models or complex multi-part assemblies, this hand is designed to be printed as a single, continuous piece:

  • Zero Assembly Required: The complex mechanical joints are built directly into the geometry. Once the print is finished, the fingers and thumb are immediately ready to flex, extend, and move.
  • Bio-realistic Movement: The internal joint constraints were specifically calibrated to respect the natural limits and range of motion found in a real human hand.
  • Medical-Grade Accuracy: Features true-to-life representations of the carpal bones, metacarpals, and phalanges, preserving the organic textures and shapes of the original scan.

🎓 Perfect For:

  • Clinical & Academic Study: A fantastic, hands-on visual aid for medical students, physical therapists, and anatomy teachers.
  • Biomechanical Demonstration: Easily explains how the skeletal framework behaves during grasping, finger articulation, and thumb opposition.
  • 3D Printing Showcase: An incredibly impressive project to demonstrate your printer's dimensional accuracy, bridging capabilities, and print-in-place tolerances.
  • Artistic Reference: A great physical tool for artists and animators studying lifelike hand poses.

💡 Print Guidelines

  • Format: 100% Print-in-Place.
  • Material: Optimized for standard PLA. Rigid materials work perfectly to demonstrate the skeletal kinematics—no TPU or flexible filament is needed.
  • Scale: Pre-scaled to match the proportions of an average adult human hand (1:1 scale).

Disclaimer: While highly accurate and derived from real medical data, this model is designed strictly for educational, demonstration, and hobbyist purposes. It is not intended for clinical diagnostics or to replace professional medical advice.
