This Mini Starburst Drop Fidget is a miniature version of a drop fidget with a 16-point star design, sometimes called a Starburst. Even though it's small, it's still super satisfying to play with and has a really smooth drop action.
The tolerances are tuned so the rings slide nicely without being too loose. They move smoothly but stay together well, making it fun to fidget with over and over. Because it's so small and lightweight, it easily fits in your pocket and can go pretty much anywhere. It's a great fidget to hold while doing homework, watching TV, gaming, or just hanging out, and sometimes you might even forget you're holding it.
One of my favorite things about this design is how quick and easy it is to print. It prints completely support-free, takes only about 27 minutes, and uses just 6 grams of filament. That means you can print a bunch of them without using much material at all.
This fidget looks awesome in pretty much any color, and printing a bunch in different colors makes them even more fun. They're great for collecting, sharing with friends, or just filling a desk with tiny fidgets.
The colors shown in the photos were printed with Sunlu PLA Basic in Sakura Pink, Yellow, Blue, Red, Grey, and White. If you print one, I'd love to see what color combinations you come up with!
