Printing
- Use a clean print plate with some glue (unless you are using a super tack plate)
- Use dried out filament
- (Different filament types impact the print differently, please adjust your settings accordingly. If printing with silk PLA, then I recommend to adjust the Speed Outer wall setting to 40mm/s and Tope Surface to 40mm/s.
Support Removal:
- Gently break the support off starting at the middle by breaking (crushing) the support in the middle.
- Avoid pulling firmly on the delicate cutout sections. Work slowly and remove the supports in small pieces.
- Move to the top and remove the support.
- Remove the remaining support from the bottom.
Light sanding and gentle, controlled heat may be needed to clean up areas where the supports were attached on the backside. I used a handheld mini torch, but apply heat carefully to avoid warping or damaging the print.
