Training Gas Mask Spacer Ring
Print Profile(1)

Description
It is common to use expired filter cartridges for training or exercises requiring the use of filtering masks (gas mask), but these filters are single-use, and it is not safe for them to be reused
I therefore modeled an intermediate ring to place between the mask and the cartridge to divert the airflow: the cartridge is thus “reusable” (for training only!) because the user does not breathe through it
For more realism during use, this ring includes an airflow reduction to simulate the breathing resistance of a real filter
This ring is compatible with masks and filter cartridges with a 40 mm 1/7" NATO thread (NATO)
The model is designed to print easily and quickly with no supports
The advantage of this ring is to get closer to real conditions by simulating breathing through a gas mask and by maintaining the weight of a real cartridge
This ring is compatible with my model of Weighted Simulation Filter Cartridge :
Note : The ventilation opening is made with negative parts to be adapted as needed (invisible in the 3D preview of Makerworld)
