Description

He is not merely an end, but the final, silent collector. In his grasp rests the ultimate measure: the hourglass of a unique life. As the final grains cascade through the thin waist of the glass, the figure of the Sentinel himself begins to unravel into the same timeless dust. The accumulating sands form a dark pyramid at his base, slowly consuming the collector as the collector consumes the moments. This sculpture captures that final, inescapable transition—the merging of the ender and the ended. It is a stark reminder that even Death serves the inescapable flow of Time.

Printing & Post-Processing Details

Printed Model Specifications (as shown):

  • Material: Printed in black PLA
  • Post-Processing / Finish: Simply spray-painted with a bronze metallic tone by myself for an easy yet striking finish (retaining visible layer lines for an authentic 3D-printed texture)
  • Layer Height: 0.16mm (Highly Recommended for Detail)
  • Model Height: 12cm (Scalable)
  • Infill: 6% Gyroid (Perfect balance of strength and material saving)

Printing Note & Layer Height Recommendation: I printed this model at 0.16mm to preserve the intricate details of the robes, the texture of the hourglass frame, and the complex base structure. This is the optimal resolution for details at this specific size. Of course, you can print this at 0.20mm to reduce print time, but please be aware that at this scale, some fine details will be lost or softened.

ATTENTION - REQUIRED READING BEFORE PRINTING:

This is a complex and detailed print. To achieve a successful result, please follow these instructions:

  1. BED ADHESION IS CRUCIAL: Before you start the print, you MUST ensure your build plate is thoroughly cleaned and free of all oils. This model has a complex base that requires robust bed adhesion to complete successfully.
  2. SUPPORT REMOVAL: Do NOT simply tear or rip the supports off with your hands! This model contains fine details that will snap. Patience and precision are required. Use a small, sharp side cutter to carefully clip the support structures at the attachment points. If you rush, you will break something. Treat it with the respect the figure deserves.

I would love to see your interpretations of the Sentinel! Please share photos of your printed (and painted!) models in the comments. I will respond to everyone!
