Pool Skimmer Guard
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is my first published model so bear with me!
My Betta Solar Skimmer kept getting sucked into my pool skimmer so I designed this bumper to prevent that. Saw some other models for skimmer grilles but I needed a little more depth to keep my Betta out.
This bumper clips right into the faceplate of your skimmer. One piece print: no supports, no hardware - just print in PETG or ASA.
Shown in pics is the 2 inch depth bumper with rounded corners. GIF shows the v1 with 6 inch depth, the purpose being to demonstrate how it solves this specific problem.
Couple of notes:
- I recommend printing just one clip first to test the fit - that allows you to quickly verify that it's the right size. There is a parametric version of the clip so you can tweak it to fit your skimmer.
- I have profiles for the rounded and square corners versions. Rounded with 2 inch (~50mm) depth looks better but I am still testing out functionality.
- I designed it for a standard Hayward Skimmer for an inground pool, but also published a customizable parametric version. Looking for feedback on how that is working.
