It is not always necessary to use a large dust extraction system on a thickness planer. Often, only a small amount of chips accumulates due to small workpieces, making a large system superfluous.

Unfortunately, a standard vacuum cleaner cannot be connected directly to the Metabo DH 330!

For work where only a few wood chips accumulate, for example with narrow boards - for this case, I have designed an extraction adapter that now makes it possible to operate a conventional vacuum cleaner on the Metabo DH 330 thickness planer.

Since most suction tubes are conical, it should be possible to operate various workshop vacuums with this. To ensure your vacuum cleaner fits, please refer to the bore dimensions below.

IMPORTANT!!!

When planing wider boards, I recommend using a large dust extraction system, as small extractors tend to clog with increased chip volume. Please judge for yourself whether an extractor with a smaller diameter is advisable in your case, or if it is prudent to use a large dust extraction system instead!
