Set of vegetable garden labels / Modular Garden Plant Labels

A practical and aesthetic set of markers for a home garden, raised bed vegetable garden, or greenhouse. No more forgetting what was sown where!

The design was created with simplicity and convenience in mind. It consists of two elements: a sturdy stake (in the shape of a shepherd's crook/hook) driven into the ground, and a label with the plant's name hung on it. This way, if you change the crop layout (crop rotation) in the next season, you only need to swap the hangers, without having to pull the stakes out of the ground.

🖨️ What will you find in the file?

The project has been divided into print-friendly build plates:

  • Plate 01 & 02: Ready-made hangers with the names of the most popular vegetables and herbs.
  • Plate 03: Set of stakes for hanging labels.

Prepared names in the set:

  • Root and bulb vegetables: Radish, Beets, Carrot, Onion
  • Leafy and cabbage vegetables: Lettuce, Arugula, Cabbage
  • Fruiting vegetables: Tomato, Classic Tomato, Raspberry Tomato, Cherry Tomato, Cucumbers, Zucchini, Beans
  • Herbs and additions: Dill, Parsley, Chives, Oregano

⚙️ Print tips (Print Settings)

For the labels to last the entire season in the garden, it is worth paying attention to the appropriate settings and materials:

  • Recommended filament (Important!): I strongly recommend printing with PETG, ASA, or ABS. These materials are resistant to UV radiation and higher temperatures. Regular PLA may deform during hot, sunny days in the garden.
  • Colors (AMS Friendly): The labels have been designed to be easily printed in two colors. The best visual effect and readability will be achieved by using a dark background (e.g., black, dark green) and light, contrasting text (e.g., white).
  • Infill (Infill): 15% – 20% (e.g., Gyroid pattern) is perfectly sufficient to maintain adequate stiffness for the hooks.
  • Supports (Supports): None! All elements have been optimized to print flat on the build plate without any supports.
  • Layer height: 0.20 mm works perfectly and ensures good letter readability.

Happy gardening season and fruitful harvests!
