Description

There are multiple energy indicators on Makerwold. But a childrens version was missing!

My child and rehabilitation team are working on a signal plan so everybody can see at which color level she is at that moment.

Full of energy? Woken up in orange? Needing a rest? In starting stages of sensory overload?

With this tool my child can gain insight in their own body.

How do I feel? Am I in pain? Is the classroom to loud? Am I having a hard time and why? Do I need to rest? Which kind of rest does help me refill my battery?

At the same time all the adults use a plan like this:

Awake, alert, aproachable and good in making contact? Probably green :)

Eyes slightly closed, moving a bit slower, being figdetty but still able to do some work and listen? That means this child is in yellow.

Hands over ears, having trouble with other children, not wanting to do anything (or understanding the assignment), running into things or hanging over her table and losing muscle tone? This means orange!

Suddenly hyperactive and not reachable at all? Sleeping, hanging and whining, very slow and not able to do anything at all? This is red and the child has crashed.

This can be used for children with limited energy, or energy problems. Also sensory problems and sensory overload and meltdowns. Or children with social problems (limited social battery) or chronic pain. Children who are having trouble to get through the day at school or at home for all kinds of reasons.

This helps adults to gain insight and the child to understand themselves better and have a say in the matter too!

It is very good for children with a lifelong condition to learn their limits and what helps them to charge their battery.

I made a version for AMS and without. The version without AMS comes with pauses at the right times where you are supposed to change to black.

Then after printing just glue the rectangles from red to green and assemble the indicator. The stand is optional, but very usefull to keep it in sight.
