Description
Project Description Functional 3D printed model for the replacement heel tip, compatible with the famous **Opyum** high-heeled shoes. This part allows you to repair the footwear when the original heel tip wears out or detaches, preventing damage to the metal structure of the heel while walking.
The design has been engineered to respect the original fitting tolerances, ensuring stability.
Material Choice and Settings: You can print this replacement part in TPU or PETG, depending on your preferences:
- Option A: TPU (Flexible - Recommended for grip)
- Offers excellent non-slip grip and absorbs impacts, behaving like the original heel tip.
- Warning: In peak summer, prolonged contact with hot asphalt might soften or wear out the flexible plastic more quickly.
- Option B: PETG (Rigid - Recommended for heat)
- Much harder and more resistant, it is not affected by high summer asphalt temperatures.
- Warning: "Naked" PETG is extremely slippery and noisy on smooth floors. If you choose this option, it is advisable to glue a thin layer of non-slip rubber (or a rubber sole pad) to the base that touches the ground to walk safely.
General Settings:
- Infill: From 50% to 100% (Gyroid or Concentric) to withstand the load without yielding.
- Walls: 3 or 4 walls for increased structural solidity.
- Supports: Not necessary if the model is oriented with the flat part resting directly on the print bed.
Assembly Instructions:
- Thoroughly clean the metal heel socket of any dirt residue or old glue.
- Press-fit the new heel tip.
- (Recommended) For a permanent hold, apply a drop of shoe adhesive or cyanoacrylate inside the recess before insertion.
