Print Profile(1)

Description
Do you have dozens of spools with filament scraps that you don't use and are gathering dust, and electronic connectors are quite expensive?
Here is the solution.
This is a filament connector designed to quickly and easily join two filament segments, especially useful for utilizing scraps and reducing waste.
The design is printed in PETG to offer greater thermal and mechanical resistance during the joining process. It works mainly with PLA and PETG, although it can be used with other standard 1.75 mm diameter materials by performing the corresponding tests.
Features
- Compatible with 1.75 mm filament.
- Ideal for joining filament scraps and utilizing nearly empty spools.
- Compact and easy-to-print design.
- No screws or special parts required.
- Robust PETG construction.
Required Materials
In addition to the printed parts, you only need:
- 8 cm of PTFE tube.
- 1 spring recovered from a retractable (click-type) pen.
This allows for a practically zero cost by using recycled materials.
Assembly
- Insert the PTFE tube into the corresponding channel.
- Place the spring in the indicated position.
- Assemble the printed parts.
- Insert the ends of the filaments to be joined and perform the fusion process according to your preferred method.
- You can use a lighter, torch, candle, oil lamp, etc.
