Description

Bought Smart without speakers, bought audio cables, bought 130mm speakers, wired the places for the speakers, modeled the adapters, found out i cannot use the original covers, modeled new covers, printed new covers, fitted new covers, here they are. 

You will need audio mesh "textile", i bought mine years ago on aliexpress, the space between the inner ring and the outer ring is now 0.2mm, the mesh will compress down to it. 

Print it with PETG or ABS or anything what can withstand some temperature (it is for car use - hot weather), i will try to make the profile for ABS, but later. I have put PLA supports in the file, i have tried use the same material, but it was too glued together and few parts broke, so i had to use different materials to succesfully print it.

Use CA glue for securing the outer ring to inner ring and to glue the mesh in, there are chamfers for the glue to fill. The adapter fits the original holes, and there are holes ready for the speaker, they are 137.5mm in diameter. Fix the speaker with wood screws or any other that will fit, i used 5mm, you can use 3-5mm, they will hold it fine. 

I recommend to use some kind of sound insulation under the speaker, some foam or silicone sealant maybe ( idk really ?). Fitting the cover is a bit tricky, you need a bit of force to click the little tabs in place. Yes, they have to be that way, otherwise it would make rattling noise. There is small tolerance included, but it is only 0.1mm, so it is like nothing. Feel free to ask anything, i can make some changes if needed, but it should fit.
