Description
Check which version you need depending on what kind of tarp you have. There's a model for eyelets and a model for tieouts, both pictured for reference.
Microplastics!
Before you comment, please understand this is a pre-filter water collector. I included pictures of a Sawyer system for reference. You do not drink directly from the blue collapsible bottle. Rather, you connect it to a filter, and either fill another container or you drink directly through the filter.

Sawyer, LifeStraw, Platypus, Katadyn, Grayl, MSR and more remove microplastics.
This is designed to collect water for any water filter that's compatible with PCO 1810 aka 28mm, which is standard water bottle threading.
Why? The most common issues people have in the wilderness aren't remembering specific knots, but exposure, dehydration, and navigational errors.
It's extremely common for people to underestimate how much water they need to bring, or how difficult it will be to find fresh water sources.
So I designed this for climates where you're able to harvest rain. It makes it easier and faster to aid in filling more bottles in less time. It's not intended to be relied on as your water source, it's intended to increase the water you can harvest naturally, and reduce the effort it takes to do so, before it's filtered (of course).
In the extreme situation where you didn't bring a shelter, cover, tarp, blanket, or anything to catch water, you'd be surprised how much it will collect on its own.
It's strong enough that it doesn't require special treatment in your pack, and can be crammed anywhere.
It's also not terrible at drying bottles and bladders with a fan.
