Bosch FSN / Mafell Rail Adapters for Angled Roofs

During the construction of my roof, I ran into a practical problem. The plywood roof sheathing (underlayment) needed to be cut to size on a sloped roof surface. While guide rails normally work great, it was difficult to secure the rail properly on an angled surface, and there was always a risk of it shifting during the cut, affecting accuracy.

To solve this, I designed these left and right adapters for Bosch FSN and Mafell guide rails. The adapters allow the guide rail to be screwed directly to the roof sheathing, creating a secure and stable setup that prevents movement while cutting. This made it possible to achieve straight, accurate cuts and fit the panels precisely where needed.

Important Note

This solution requires screws to secure the rail, which means screw holes will remain in the material afterward. In my case, this was not an issue because the roof sheathing was later covered with insulation and additional finishing layers. If you are working on visible surfaces, such as decorative wall panels or finished woodwork, you may want to consider an alternative mounting method.
