Bomb Keychain – Two-Part Modular Design
This bomb-shaped keychain is designed to be printed in parts for easier printing. The model is divided into two main parts to ensure better surface quality, avoid unnecessary supports, and allow for clean assembly: it is divided into two halves and a connector.
The design maintains rounded proportions and simple details to make it durable even in small sizes, ideal for daily use on backpacks, keys, or decorative accessories.
Design Features
• Spherical body with integrated legs/supports for visual stability. • Separate top fuse for cleaner, support-free printing. • Simple plug-in assembly to join both pieces. • Side or top hole for adding a chain or keychain ring. • Smooth surfaces designed to print well even with 0.4 mm nozzles.
Printing Recommendations
• Material: PLA for a clean finish; PETG if you seek greater durability. • Layer Height: 0.08 mm to preserve curvature without visible steps. • Infill: 10–15% is sufficient to maintain rigidity. • Orientation: – Body: print resting on the base to obtain a uniform sphere. • Assembly: join both pieces with gentle pressure; cyanoacrylate must be added for permanent fixation.
Usage
Perfect as a keychain, backpack ornament, themed accessory, or collectible piece. It's easy to paint for personalization. I painted the numbers, the stars on the back, and the fuse black.
