I needed to buy a bed headboard but wasn't convinced by any, so I thought of designing it myself to be able to print it. The first problem was that it was very large, 150 cm. I divided it into 32 pieces to assemble it in parts later.

I wanted it to be robust and comfortable when leaning back. Another important thing was to leave a space for LED lights…

I got to work and this is what I came up with. I'm really happy with the result; it looks great and is sturdy.

I didn't post-process it, but you can if you're handy.

You can join the loose pieces or use a plywood sheet as a base. I joined them on the floor with the help of straps to ensure a good connection between pieces. Be careful when standing it upright after joining all the pieces; it's best to do it with two people.

Combine or extend the leg pieces according to the height you need. I added a cutout at the base of the legs to accommodate the wall's skirting board.

I used an Alexa-compatible light strip, but you can use any lights you prefer, or none at all.

My headboard has been installed since February 2025 and remains like new to this day.

Go for it; you won't regret it, despite the printing time and the material needed (about 10 kilograms of PLA).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me here; I'll be happy to help in any way I can.

Regards
