Description

🧪🏜️ Desert Thief Alchemist – The Wasteland Brewer

"Utini! Mix the spice, charge the blaster, and let the concoction bubble!" 🧪🏜️

While other scavengers only look for scrap metal, the Desert Thief Alchemist hunts for volatile chemical compounds and rare desert minerals. Hidden beneath his tattered, sand-covered robes and heavy welding goggles, this eccentric tinkerer brews unstable elixirs in mid-battle. Armed with an advanced chemical-dispensing staff made of copper piping and custom glass flasks, along with a multi-barrel energy blaster, he can support his allies or melt enemy armor with toxic sludge.

From his protective leather apron with a custom tribal emblem to the auxiliary chemical tanks on his back, this miniature is a perfect blend of space-opera nostalgia and gritty alchemy.

📦 What’s Included

  • 🏜️ Highly detailed Desert Thief Alchemist Statue (~150 mm, optimized for FDM printing)
  • 🖨️ FDM print profile (150 mm scale)
  • 🎲 32 mm tabletop scale version (pre-supported for SLA printing)
  • Engineered with smooth, structured surfaces for easy layering and painting of the heavy cloth and metal pipes.

🎨 Perfect For

  • Sci-Fi & Space Opera Collections: A unique, stylized addition to your desert planet themed miniatures.
  • Painting Liquid & Glow Effects: A fantastic opportunity to practice painting translucent glass flasks filled with glowing chemicals and object source lighting (OSL) from the goggles and staff.
  • Specialist Characters: The perfect thematic Medic, Chem-expert, or Mad Scientist for your custom warband.
  • Display Showcase: The 150 mm FDM print profile allows every rivet, belt buckle, and tiny vial to stand out beautifully on your shelf.

🎲 Tabletop Compatibility

Fits seamlessly into any 28–32 mm scale sci-fi, space-fantasy, or steampunk wargame:

  • Star Wars: Legion – An excellent custom proxy for an operative, specialized crew leader, or narrative objective marker.
  • Stargrave / Five Parsecs from Home – Ideal as a specialized "Medic," "Biologist," or alien tech-merchant.
  • Necromunda / Outlanders – A great Chem-Dealer or Rogue Doc proxy for a wasteland scavenger faction.
  • Dungeons & Dragons – A unique space-faring Artificer Alchemist or a strange desert-dwelling NPC trader.

🖨️ Printing Notes

  • 150 mm version is optimized for FDM printing, where the broad folds of the hood and heavy tunic look clean and smooth directly off the build plate.
  • 32 mm version is pre-supported for SLA/resin, keeping the tiny glass flasks, thin fluid lines on the staff, and weapon barrels sharp and perfectly scaled.
  • Comes with a pre-detailed scenic desert sand base featuring scattered scrap pieces and ancient droid junk buried in the dunes.

💡 Painting Tip:

To truly match the stunning aesthetic of the Jawa Alchemyster.png reference, paint the chemical fluids with highly saturated, contrasting colors—like a bright glowing teal on the front flask and a deep magenta on the upper ones. Use a turquoise technical wash over the copper parts of the staff to create a realistic verdigris/oxidized copper patina that screams weathered desert technology! ⚗️⚡🎨
