Funny Hedgehog – Bird & Insect Waterer for Your Garden

My print profile is optimal for a printer with two nozzles because the support, which is absolutely necessary here, detaches better if, for example, a hedgehog printed in PLA with a PETG printed support roof yields much nicer results.
I printed everything with my X2D and managed both parts in 14.5 hours. The result is very good to excellent! Of course, it also works with printers with one nozzle, but it takes longer if you use that function.
The two parts fit together perfectly and are glued. Afterwards, I primed and painted the hedgehog, which was very easy. Finally, I sprayed it with clear coat – important for outdoor use, as PLA is very susceptible to weathering! I have had good experiences with this, as I have had a birdhouse made of PLA outdoors for many years, which was also treated in this way and serves its purpose.
