Modular LED Light / Floor Lamp – World Cup 2026 Edition
Print Profile(1)

Description
Modular LED Mood Light / Floor Lamp – World Cup 2026 Edition (80cm & Sound Reactive)
Bring the stadium feeling home! This stylish, modular LED floor lamp is approx 80 cm tall and reacts perfectly to music thanks to WLED.
The Special Feature: The lamp is completely modular. For the 80 cm height, I used 3 segments. But you can easily print more or fewer segments to achieve your perfect desired height!
World Cup Special: Matching the current World Cup, there are two versions of the LED covers (diffusers):
- World Cup Edition: With cool football structures that glow perfectly in a black-red-gold look (or your club colors).
- Normal Edition: Clean, smooth covers for after the World Cup, so the lamp fits into your room as a modern eye-catcher all year round. The covers can be easily swapped out at any time!
What you need for this project (materials list):
3D-Printed Parts:
- Base/Foot (with or without microphone holder)
- Body Segments (Choose flexibly from lengths: 100, 150, 200 or 260 mm)
- Connecting Pins / Pins (for easy assembly of the segments)
- Covers/Diffusers (Choose between the normal version or the football design!)
Electronics & Hardware:
- ESP32 Microcontroller (e.g. ESP32 Development Board)
- WS2815 LED-Strip (12V) – for 80 cm height, exactly 48 LEDs are needed.
- 12V Power Supply (Matching the power of your LEDs).
- DC Panel Mount Jack / DC Plug (5.5 x 2.1 mm) – for a clean power connection on the housing.
- WAGO Terminals (for securely connecting the power lines).
- Cables / Stranded Wires (for internal wiring of power and data).
Note: You don't need your own microphone for this lamp! If you already have a WLED device with a microphone (like a wall rail), you can easily stream the audio data to this lamp via Wi-Fi (AudioReactive via UDP). However, if no other strip is present, a microphone is needed.
Print Recommendations:
- Body & Foot: PLA (e.g. Bambu PLA Matte Black or Anthracite for an elegant look).
- Covers (Diffusers): Definitely print in white or transparent/translucent filament (e.g. Bambu PLA Basic White), so that the light spreads nicely and evenly.
Info: I used 3 260mm body segments for my lamp; I haven't tried other shorter segments, but they should work exactly the same. Also, I didn't use a microphone in my build because I already have one on another LED strip.
