Printing

  1. Current height can be resized.
    1. Changing the height or the print layers might reduce the print time.
  2. Use a clean print plate with glue (unless you are using a super tack plate)
  3. Use dried out filament.
  4.  Depending on the filament you choose, you may want to adjust the settings. The current settings works well for Silk PLA and regular PLA.
  5. Support is needed. Please keep the positioning and the support settings as is as the settings have been adjusted to minimize scaring and proper printing.

Support Removal

The chair area is a bit more time consuming, but this model is definitely worth it.

  • Let the model cool down before removing the supports.
  • Use pliers when removing the supports.
  • Please take your time when removing supports, especially around the chair.
    • These sections have small openings and detailed shapes, so it is best to remove the supports slowly in smaller pieces.
    • Break the branches by “crushing” them in the middle.
  •  Start with the larger outside supports first, then carefully work your way into the chair area using small pliers.
  • Avoid twisting or pulling directly on the chair legs, backrest, hands, or small decorative details.

Light sanding and gentle, controlled heat will be needed under the chair middle ring and “arches” where the supports were attached. If applying heat be careful to avoid warping or damaging the print.
