Description
This is an alignment jig designed to perfectly hold and position round objects for batch laser engraving. I specifically optimized the dimensions to a 150x150mm footprint, making it a perfect fit for the work area of a Gweike 2 Pro 30W fiber laser, as well as any other laser engraver with a similar bed size.
As shown in the model preview (image_3755cb.png), the template securely holds up to nine 40mm coins, tokens, or round blanks. To make framing and positioning as easy as possible, the design features 4 built-in alignment markers.
Key Features:
- Capacity: Holds exactly 9x 40mm circular objects.
- Dimensions: 150x150mm (Optimized for 150mm laser beds).
- Precision: Includes 4 alignment markers for fast and accurate setup.
⚠️ IMPORTANT MATERIAL WARNING ⚠️ When using this jig for laser engraving—especially for multi-pass deep engraving—heat resistance and color are crucial.
- Best Practice: Print this model in a WHITE, heat-resistant filament like ASA or ABS. The white color helps reflect stray laser beams, preventing the jig from absorbing heat and melting.
- My Experience: I printed my personal jig in standard white PLA. It works perfectly fine and holds up even during deep engraving sessions, but please monitor your laser and ensure the beam doesn't hit the plastic directly for extended periods.
Recommended Print Settings:
- Material: ASA, ABS, or PLA (White is highly recommended!)
- Infill: 15% - 20%
- Supports: None required
