Kinger appears erratic and paranoid, unable to commit acts of bravery. He also seems to have gone insane during his time in the circus, as shown when he starts acting erratically. It is implied that he is distracted, as he is often seen forgetting that people are near him and gets scared when he sees them. Kinger also seems to be interested in insects, as he is sometimes shown rambling about an "insect collection".
Kinger is an alder wood-colored king chess piece. He has cartoonish white hands separated from his body and 2 round, realistic eyes unevenly placed on his face. He wears a royal violet cape with a fuzzy white lining and dark brown spots.
