The Burj Al Arab, also known as the Dubai Sail Hotel, is a 7-star hotel located on an artificial island in the Persian Gulf, Dubai, UAE, 280 meters from the beach. It was initiated by Dubai's Crown Prince Al Maktoum and is the second hotel opened by Jumeirah Group. The hotel has 56 floors and is 321 meters high, featuring a double-skinned membrane structure and a cantilevered helipad. 250 deep-sea piles and 9,000 tons of steel were used during its construction. Its exterior resembles a sailing ship, blending Islamic style with modern craftsmanship.
