Description

This is a fully parametric and modular Card Deck Box designed for board game organization. It generates a custom matrix of interconnected card boxes with matching lids, optimized for 3D printing directly on the build plate.

The model separates X/Y axis constraints (driven by your nozzle diameter) from Z axis heights (driven by your layer height), guaranteeing perfectly calculated perimeters and solid bases without slicing artifacts.

🖨️ Printer Settings

  • nozzle: Your printer nozzle diameter (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, or 0.8 mm) to calculate perfect wall perimeters.
  • layer_height: Your printing layer height (from 0.08 mm up to 0.64 mm). Choose the value according to your nozzle limit to ensure exact Z-axis layer matching for the box floor and lid.

📦 Matrix Settings

  • boxes_x: Number of boxes next to each other on the X-axis.
  • boxes_y: Number of boxes back-to-back on the Y-axis.
  • finger_gap: The spacing between boxes on the X-axis so your fingers can comfortably fit to pull a deck.

🃏 Card Dimensions

  • card_width: The width of a single card (X-axis) including its sleeve.
  • card_length: The length of a single card (Y-axis) including its sleeve.
  • deck_height: The total height of your card stack (Z-axis).

🛠️ Structural Parameters

  • target_wall_thickness: Your desired wall and base thickness (the code will automatically round this up to a perfect multiple of your nozzle/layers).
  • base_extension: How much the bottom flat plate extends outward from the lid for stability and a clean look.
  • finger_width: The total width of the finger slot cutout.
  • deck_elevator: Height of the internal platform that lifts the cards inside the box.
  • clearance: Tolerance gap, perfect fit.

Slicing Note: Make sure your slicer's Slicing Mode is set to Regular (do not use Close Holes or automatic mesh repair, otherwise the slicer might accidentally fill the hollow inside of the lid).
