Silicone Cartridge Cap / Cartridge Seal

This practical silicone cartridge cap was developed to cleanly and securely seal opened silicone, acrylic, or adhesive cartridges. Ideal for workshop, construction site, household, or hobby area.

The cap is simply placed on the opened cartridge tip or cartridge opening and helps to protect the material from drying out for longer. Thanks to its grippy shape, the cap can be easily screwed on and off or pulled off.

Application

After using the cartridge, the tip is cleaned and the cap is placed on the opening. This keeps the cartridge cleanly sealed and allows it to be used again later.

The cap is particularly suitable for opened cartridges that are not used up completely right away.

Print Recommendation

Material: PETG, PLA+ or TPU
Infill: approx. 20–40 %
Wall lines: at least 3
Layer height: 0.16–0.2 mm
Supports: usually not required
Orientation: test with the open side up or down, depending on the printer and desired surface

For a slightly more flexible and tighter fit, TPU can be used. For a stable variant, PETG or PLA+ are suitable.

Notes

Please check before use whether the cap fits the respective cartridge. Depending on the manufacturer, the openings may vary slightly. For a better seal, the cartridge tip or opening should be roughly cleaned before placing the cap.

The cap can significantly slow down drying out, but it does not replace a permanently airtight original seal.
