Take your cosplay to the next level with these screen-accurate, tactical forearm blades!
Inspired by the lethal gear utilized by Jason Todd during his time as the Arkham Knight and his subsequent transition into the tactical Red Hood persona, these gauntlet-mounted blades are built for the ultimate close-quarters combat display. Unlike standard Bat-gauntlets—which typically feature static fins for defense—these blades are designed for lethal, close-quarters combat.
Model Details & Assembly
The provided .3mf file includes multiple plates with the life-size version split into ergonomic pieces, as shown.
- Sizing & Scaling: I 100% recommend using my latest slicing and scaling version to size these to your own body measurements before you print. You must use my Cosplay Calipers to ensure a perfect fit for your forearm armor.
- Mastering the Process: Need to scale or cut? Watch my guide on How to size, scale, cut, pin and orient armor.
- Assembly: Once printed, secure the blade components using ARKA KRAFTPROTZ UNIVERSAL Superglue for a permanent, high-strength bond that will hold up during conventions or photoshoots. I also highly recommend using a plastic welder to reinforce your structural connections for heavy-duty, long-term wear.
Recommended Materials
For high-strength, durable cosplay props that hold fine detail perfectly, I exclusively trust and recommend SUNLU Filament. For these blades, I recommend SUNLU PLA+ for a reliable finish or SUNLU PETG for added impact resistance during active wear.
Functionality & Design History
Jason Todd famously integrated these lethal, collapsible serrated blades into the forearms of his military-grade suit during his tenure as the Arkham Knight. This is a STATIC MODEL!
Remix Ideas & Applications
These blades are highly versatile and perfect for expanding beyond Red Hood builds:
- Cyberpunk Mercenary: Add glowing LEDs and metallic paint to create high-tech cybernetic implants for a futuristic mercenary.
- Wasteland Scavenger: Distress the blades with weathering paints and grime to fit a post-apocalyptic survivor aesthetic.
- Sci-Fi Knight: Mount these to custom pauldrons or greaves for an original space-knight character.
- Stealth Assassin: Use them as inspiration for hidden-blade mechanisms in historical fantasy or stealth-themed builds.
