Description

Twisted Honeycomb Vase with Hidden GoPro Housing

This decorative twisted vase conceals a GoPro camera inside a three-part locking structure. The camera remains hidden from casual observers while maintaining a clear view through one of the honeycomb openings.

The design consists of:

  • Outer Shell – decorative honeycomb outer structure
  • Inner Housing – holds and positions the GoPro camera
  • Insert – secures the camera inside the housing
  • Locking Rod – threaded rod that locks the insert in place
  • Key – custom tool used to install and remove the locking rod

Assembly

  1. Insert the Inner Housing into the Outer Shell from the top.
  2. Before fully seating the housing, align it with the position mark located on the bottom of the outer shell. The camera opening in the inner housing must face the side indicated by this mark so the lens aligns with the correct honeycomb opening.
  3. Once the housing is correctly aligned, lower it fully into the outer shell.
  4. Insert the GoPro into the bottom of the Inner Housing.
  5. Slide the Insert into the top of the housing until it rests on the internal support ledge.
  6. From the bottom of the assembly, insert the Locking Rod into the center column and tighten it using the Key until the Insert is securely retained

When assembled, the insert prevents the camera from being removed, while the locking rod secures the entire assembly. All visible top surfaces remain flush, creating a clean and seamless appearance.

Features

  • Decorative twisted pentagonal vase design
  • Honeycomb outer shell
  • Hidden GoPro compartment
  • Tool-secured locking mechanism
  • No visible fasteners from the outside
  • Easy camera access when disassembled
  • Suitable as a decorative object, display piece, or discreet camera enclosure
  • Without the unique key, the frame cannot be disassembled by laypeople, and the GoPro cannot be accessed.

Important

A small circular mark on the bottom of the Outer Shell indicates the side where the camera lens opening is located. Make sure the Inner Housing is oriented correctly during assembly so the camera lens aligns with the intended honeycomb opening.

Note

The GoPro has an extremely wide viewing angle, unfortunately it was not possible to design the model in such a way that the frame does not hang in the camera image at all. But in practice it is perfectly usable.
