Print Profile(1)

Description
Short Description:
3D printed excavator bucket, created as part of a CAD tutorial. The model is ideal as decoration, a small workshop item, or a display model for design and 3D printing. Also useful for teaching the relevance of print surface and support avoidance.
Detailed Description:
This excavator bucket was originally designed in conjunction with a tutorial and then 3D printed. The model shows typical characteristics of an excavator bucket such as the curved bucket shape, side cheeks, mounting points, and suggested teeth on the front edge.
Today, it primarily serves as a decorative object, a small exhibit, or an example model for CAD, 3D printing, and design. It is well suited for a desk, workshop, shelf, or as a display model in lessons.
The model is not intended as a load-bearing tool, but as a decorative and learning object. For example, as a business card holder, pen holder, or for presenting sweets in the office, or as a home for your keys, or perhaps you can think of other uses.
Print Recommendation:
PLA is completely sufficient for decorative use. For a more robust version, PETG or ABS/ASA can be used. A layer height of 0.2 mm and 15–25% infill are sufficient for most applications.
Note:
This model is intended as a decorative and tutorial model and is logically not suitable for functional use on machines or for heavy loads.
Note on the "Surface Optimized" print profile:
With the Surface Optimized print profile, the support structures are set to 15° to avoid generating excessive support material. This can lead to the first layers not being fully cleanly bonded and hanging down slightly on overhangs. This generally has no impact on the decorative use of the model.
