Compact Bag Rider for Magpul MOE SL

This “Compact” Bag Rider is designed to fit the Magpul SL stock and provides a footprint for stability when used with a bag. It enables the user to still have use of the stock bottom strap slot if required. 

Requires three M4x20 screws and M4 nuts for installation. I recommend putting some Loctite blue on the nut to keep the screw from unthreading during use. Sized for either a socket head or button head screw to fit. I tried to optimize around a single common screw that comes with most M- screw sets to minimize complexity and make removal easier if the bag rider will not always be used.

The print profile will work on printer beds A1 mini sized and up!

I’ve had good success with using 8 walls, 6 top shell layers, 6 bottom shell layers, 25% sparse infill with a Honeycomb pattern, 50% Infill/Wall Overlap and supports enabled. These are the settings in the print profile and what I would recommend if printing from a download. I have used both PLA+ and PETG. If your stock stays in a safe then PLA+ will be fine, if you are ever using it then PETG or better would be my recommendation to account for impact/vibration/temperature.

Note: Will not fit the SL-S stock! Too long.

Huge shoutout to @trashabama for asking for a version of my bag rider for this stock, helping provide dimensions as a starting point, and then test printing each of the versions till we got it dialed in and then providing pictures to use for the model page!

6/13/26: v3 is confirmed by @trashabama. He also provided some pictures of it mounted that will be used for the listing photos. RevA is launched as a clone of v3 just with updated revision number. 

6/12/26: v3 uploaded based on v2 feedback from @trashabama. Only change was minor adjustment to interface angle (60 to 58.5deg). Need new test print and “posed” photography that I can use for the listing pictures.

6/12/26: @trashabama is printing v2, no other test printers needed currently.

We are in BETA! This model is based off the request and dimensions provided by @trashabama and needs to be printed and tested to confirm what changes need to get made or if it’s good to go! Once confirmed I will make my “Long” version as well.
