📝 Description:

When the wheel is removed from a bicycle equipped with hydraulic disc brakes, an accidental press on the brake lever can bring the pads closer together and complicate reassembling the wheel. This small wedge prevents this problem by maintaining the spacing of the pads during maintenance, transport, or storage operations.

Easy to install, it slides directly into the caliper in place of the disc and effectively secures the braking system when the wheel is removed.

✨ Two versions included

The file contains two different models:

• Version "REMOVE BEFORE RIDE" with clearly visible inscription to remind you to remove the wedge before hitting the road.
• Version without inscription for those who prefer a more discreet and streamlined model.

You can thus choose the version that best suits your use.

• No supports needed depending on the chosen orientation.
• Low filament consumption.

🛠️ Tips for perfect adhesion in 3D printing:

Carefully clean your build plate before each print. Grease residue, dust, or fingerprints can impair adhesion and cause detachments.

Check the bed calibration: a well-leveled bed ensures a uniform and well-adhered first layer.

Use a suitable adhesion surface: depending on your material, apply a thin layer of glue stick, an adhesive spray, or a specific tape (e.g., Kapton, BuildTak).

Correctly adjust the bed temperature to promote adhesion depending on the material used (PLA, ABS, PETG, etc.).

Reduce the printing speed of the first layer: a slower speed allows for better filament adhesion to the bed.

Plan for a "skirt" or a "brim" in your slicer to stabilize the first layer and limit warping.
