Iansã (Oyá)
Iansã, also known as Oyá, is the powerful Orixá of winds, storms, lightning, and fire in Afro-Brazilian religions, such as Candomblé and Umbanda.
- Profile: She is a warrior deity, fearless, independent, and with an intense and passionate temperament.
- Domain: Besides commanding the forces of nature, she is the lady of the eguns (spirits of the dead), having the power to guide and ward them off.
- Weapons: She usually carries a sword or scimitar and an eruexim (an instrument made of a horse's tail used to ward off spirits).
