Spray Can Gun – Print-in-Place + Broom Handle

Bill of Materials
- M8 screw and nut x 1:
Description
This is my remix of the original Spray Paint Gun model.
The main goal of this version is to make the tool easier to print, no assembly needed, and use for spraying at a distance or in hard-to-reach places.
Unlike the original design, this version is mostly print-in-place. The only separate part is the tightening nut used to clamp the spray can, and that part is also fully 3D printed.
I also added a universal broom-handle threaded adapter, so the spray gun can be mounted on a broom pole. This makes it useful when you need to spray higher areas or keep distance from the target, for example when using wasp/hornet spray.
The trigger includes a small hole where you can attach a cord. Once the tool is mounted on a pole, you can pull the cord to activate the spray remotely.

Changes made in this remix:
- Converted the mechanism to a mostly print-in-place design
- Added a 3D-printed tightening nut
- Added a universal broom-handle threaded accessory
- Adapted the design for long-distance or high-reach spray use
- Thinner hand grip for a more comfortable use
- Added rubber band supports to retract the trigger in case the can nozzle is not “springy” enough
After printing, gently move the trigger and mechanism to break free any tiny fused areas.
Assembly / use
- Insert the spray can into the holder.
- Tighten the printed nut until the can is secure.
- (optional) Install the pole adapter using an M8 screw and nut (this part is not 3D printable because it requires extra strength)
- (optional) Screw a standard broom pole into the threaded adapter.
- (optional) Attach a cord to the trigger hole.
- (optional) Pull the cord to activate the spray from a distance.
