DJI Mic Mini Mobile USB-C Travel Charging Case
Print Profile(2)

Description
A compact travel hard charging case for the DJI Mic Mini Mobile USB-C kit.
It is designed to carry everything needed for a single-microphone mobile recording setup in one rigid, organized case:
- DJI Mic Mini microphone with clip (plus Magnetic plate)
- Microphone charging base
- Windscreen
- USB-C mobile receiver
The case is printed in 3 parts and assembled completely by snap-fit. No screws, no glue, no extra hardware.
The microphone can also be charged while the case is closed, thanks to the rear USB-C opening aligned with the charging base.

If you like this model, a boost would be greatly appreciated.
I spent quite a bit of time testing the snap-fit hinge, the closing tolerance and the removable bottom plate to make the case practical, compact and reliable for everyday use.
Thank you for your support!
Detailed Description
I designed this case because the DJI Mic Mini Mobile kit is often sold as single parts or as a small bundle with two microphones and one mobile receiver, usually stored in a soft pouch. For quick mobile recording, I usually need only one microphone, the USB-C receiver, the windscreen, the magnetic plate and the small charging base. The problem is that these parts are easy to forget, and the charging base is very small and lightweight, so it is not very stable when the microphone is charging.
This case solves both problems: it keeps the essential single-mic setup together and turns the charging base into a more stable, protected travel charging case.
Internal Layout
The main body has three compartments:
- Left: USB-C mobile receiver
- Center: microphone charging base with the microphone attached
- Right: windscreen
The receiver and windscreen compartments are closed at the bottom. Always insert the windscreen from the long side without forcing it: if the orientation is correct, it slides in easily.
The center compartment is open at the bottom, so the charging base is inserted from below. Once the bottom plate is snapped into place, the charging base is locked inside the case and cannot move. The center slot is also shaped to hold the charging base securely from above, so it stays properly aligned and stable.
Charging
There is a rear opening aligned with the USB-C port of the DJI charging base.
This lets you connect a standard USB-C cable and charge the microphone while the case is closed, just like a real charging case.
Assembly and Removal
The case is made of 3 printed parts:
- Main body (with o without logo)
- Removable bottom plate
- Snap-fit hinged lid
The lid is inserted by snap-fit and opens slightly past 90°. It also closes with a snap-fit tooth.
The bottom plate is held by four snap-fit lines, so it stays very stable during normal use.
If you need to remove the DJI charging base, insert a finger through the rear USB-C opening and push the bottom plate out. This is intentional: the charging base is locked inside the case, so the bottom plate must remain removable.
Important Note About the Lid Snap
The lid snap is intentionally a little firm at first.
After several tests, I preferred this tolerance because PLA tends to wear slightly with use. If the snap feels perfect from day one, it can become too loose after a few weeks. After some use, the opening and closing action becomes smoother.
Versions Included
Two versions are included:
- AMS version with the DJI logo printed in a second color
- Single-color version without the top logo
Choose the AMS version if you want the logo on top, or the clean version if you prefer a simpler single-color print.
