Pikker (The Thunder God)

The Concept: Pikker is the ancient Estonian god of lightning and thunder, possessing a fiery, piercing gaze. Inspired by traditional Inuit snow goggles (ilgaak),this 3D-printable visor brings a thousands-of-years-old functional design straight into the cyberpunk future.

A high-utility, 3D-printable sun visor designed for high-glare environments. Utilizing pinhole/slit optics based on traditional Arctic eyewear, this model reduces light intensity and eliminates glare without lenses.

Key Design Features:

  • Enhanced Field of View: Features 1 main horizontal slit and 4 secondary diagonal slits, optimizing visibility while restricting harsh sunlight.
  • Rigid Mono-Frame: Designed without hinges to maximize structural strength, ensuring a tight, wrap-around fit that blocks stray peripheral light.
  • Anti-Reflection Architecture: 4-part assembly allowing optimized filament selection for structural integrity and light management.
  • The frame is rigid for better drability and needs to be glued together
  • 2 different shields to protect your eyes: more sphisticated and detailed version with slightly larger slit for better visibility and simler one with narrower slits

PS DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN WITHTHOSE VISORS!

They are meant for giving  the shade and do not protect direct sunlight if you are looking at sun.
