To ensure you get a flawless, ultra-smooth surface finish without any ugly layer steps on the top curve, this model is designed to be printed on its side.
I have meticulously optimized the included TPU print profile. It is tuned to prioritize an exceptional, premium finish. It is slightly slower than standard profiles, but the results speak for themselves!
š Print Specs:
- Filament Usage: Only 75g of TPU (extremely lightweight and cost-effective!).
- Print Time: 10.2 hours (due to the optimized slow speeds for maximum surface quality).
- Recommended Filament: TPU 95A (great balanced support) or TPU 90A (for extra squishiness!).
ā ļø Crucial Printing Tips for Best Results ā ļø
- DRY YOUR TPU! š TPU is highly hygroscopic (it drinks moisture from the air). Wet TPU will cause stringing, popping, and a rough surface finish. For a perfectly smooth, glassy look, dry your TPU filament in a dryer for 4-6 hours before hitting print.
- Print on its Side:Ā Ā Please do not lay it flat and change to orientation! Printing it vertically on its side ensures the top wrist-resting surface is completely smooth and free of stepped layer lines.
- Orientation on Desk: Once printed, place the wrist rest with the taller, thicker side facing the keyboard and the lower slope facing you.
