Description

SHORT DESCRIPTION
A customizable parametric picture frame with raised text and a hidden top-opening keepsake box for USB drives, notes, ticket stubs, invitations, and other small mementos.

DESCRIPTION
This is a parametric keepsake picture frame designed for more than just displaying a photo. The front holds a printed picture, while the rear includes a hidden top-opening storage box for the memories that belong with it: USB drives, tickets, notes, small papers, invitations, and other small keepsakes.

It is designed for vacations, weddings, birthdays, graduations, memorials, holidays, family events, and any project where the photo is only part of the story.

The model is intentionally clean and simple so you can customize it further. Add flowers, graduation caps, vacation landmarks, logos, holiday decorations, or other decorative elements using Bambu Studio's Merge feature or your modeling tool of choice.

RECOMMENDED SKILL LEVEL
Intermediate.

This is not meant to be a one-click beginner print. The model is very customizable, but it expects some comfort with:
- Parametric model settings
- Exporting the correct part
- Orienting the model properly before slicing
- Enabling supports
- Printing the frame and lid separately
- Optional slicer painting for the raised text

Please read the included PDF before printing.

KEY FEATURES
- Parametric photo width and height
- Supports common photo sizes like 2x3, 3x5, 4x6, and 5x7
- Three customizable text lines
- Raised text for optional color painting in Bambu Studio
- Top-loading photo slot
- Hidden keepsake box on the back
- Separate removable lid
- Designed to hold USB drives, notes, tickets, small papers, and other mementos
- Physically printed and tested

PRINTING NOTES
- Print the frame body and lid as separate parts.
- The frame needs supports.
- Orient the frame upright with the stand/leg base on the build plate.
- The lid should be printed separately and is a good first fit-test if you are tuning tolerances.
- The model prints as one color by default. To color the raised text, manually paint the text in Bambu Studio or your slicer.
- If changing several parameters, print a small 2x3 test frame first before committing to a large 5x7 print.

COMMON PARAMETERS TO CHANGE
- photo_w: photo opening width in mm
- photo_h: photo opening height in mm
- side_border: left/right frame border width
- top_border: top frame border height
- bottom_plaque: bottom plaque height for the text area
- frame_thickness: front-to-back thickness of the frame
- line1, line2, line3: custom text lines
- box_w, box_h, box_d: keepsake box width, height, and depth

MAKE IT YOURS
The frame is intentionally bare-bones enough to remix and decorate. Ideas:
- Wedding flowers
- Graduation caps
- Vacation landmarks
- Sports logos
- Holiday decorations
- Baby shower themes
- Memorial details
- Family names
- Characters or decorative accents

Use Merge in Bambu Studio or another modeling tool to attach extra decorations to the frame.

TESTED
This design was physically printed and assembled during development. The printed examples include a small 2x3 version and a larger 5x7 version.

IMPORTANT NOTE
This is a parametric design, not a single fixed-size STL. The included PDF gives recommended starting settings for common photo sizes and explains which parameters are most important.
