Description

🛠️ Shad Hook Paddle 1 – Master Mold for Silicone Bait Casting

Are you looking to create your own custom soft plastic swimbaits? This is a high-quality master model (shad hook paddle 1) specifically designed for making your own silicone or plaster molds!

Whether you want to pour plastisol (soft plastic) or experiment with other materials, this master design gives you the perfect base to start production at home.

🎯 Features & Design

  • Optimized Shape: Features a hydrodynamic body with a distinct paddle tail for that irresistible, high-vibration swimming action that predators can't resist.
  • Flat Back/Base Design: The shad is perfectly split/positioned on a flat baseplate. This makes it incredibly easy to pour silicone over the model without leaks, ensuring a crisp, flat edge on your finished molds.
  • Hook Slot Ready: Designed with a clean profile to accommodate standard jigheads and hooks seamlessly once cast.

🖨️ Recommended Print Settings

To get the smoothest possible finish on your silicone molds, we recommend the following settings:

  • Layer Height: 0.12mm or lower (Adaptive Layer Height is highly recommended for the smooth curves of the body).
  • Infill: 15% - 20% (Grid or Gyroid).
  • Wall Loops: 3 or 4 (Allows for sanding without breaking through the outer shell).
  • Material: PLA or PETG (PETG handles the heat of curing silicone slightly better, but PLA works perfectly fine too).
  • Post-Processing Tip: For the best results, give the print a light sanding and a coat of glossy primer/clear coat before pouring your silicone. This removes layer lines and ensures your softbaits come out crystal clear and smooth!

If you like this design and successfully poured some monsters with it, please share your makes and leave a rating! Happy printing and tight lines! 🎣
