Thanks to this project, there will no longer be a need for makeshift solutions to secure taller batteries, allowing for better stability thanks to a firmly held battery.

The original Tamiya TT02 posts only allow the use of H: 26mm batteries, while the ones I designed have two points where the battery holder can be secured, one at H: 26mm and the other at H: 37mm. They will allow you to accommodate both classic 2S and 3S batteries.

  • Recommended material: PETG or TPU. The posts are subject to the tension of the battery retainer and the vibrations of the model, so a tough and slightly flexible material is ideal. PLA Basic is not sufficient and would risk breaking during use.
  • Installation: remove the previous posts by unscrewing the screws in the lower part of the chassis, place the new posts and screw them in with the original screws (the lower hole is calibrated for the original screws)
  1. Unscrew the two original posts from the chassis of your TT-02.
  2. Screw the new 3D Printed posts into their place using the stock screws.
  3. Insert your battery (2S or 3S) and secure it with the original battery retainer bridge using clips/pins.
