Description
From Wikipedia
âThe McDonnell Douglas (later Boeing) X-36 Tailless Fighter Agility Research Aircraft is an American stealthy subscale prototype jet UAV. Built for NASA and first flown in 1997, it was designed without the traditional empennage found on most aircraft. This configuration was designed to reduce weight, drag, and radar cross section; and increase range, maneuverability, and survivability.â

I recently went to the USAF museum, and while there, I saw some awesome and wacky aircraft I would love to make later on, including the goofy and tiny X-36! my next model will likely be another plane from that museum, including the massive B-36, and some other âgoofy boisâ as I called them! I'm surprised that this model didn't break after removing supports, it's honestly amazing what these printers are capable of
Fun facts: the 2 X-36 that were twice the length of the Starr bumblebee, the world's smallest plane. the 2 X-36 that were built at 28% scale, meaning that a full-sized one would be about the size of an F-22 or F-15 (about 64 to 67 feet)
anyway, onto info about the print and recommendations for after-printing!Â
The model prints at a 90-degree angle for quality and strength of the landing gear and can be printed with the 0.4 mm nozzle. After printing, be careful removing supports, as some parts will be a bit fragile. When rating the model, please add pictures, I ask because I like seeing how your model turned out and helping with any problems that I have answers for. thank you for taking time out of your day to check out this model!
