Cargo Net Mount — Large Base for Double-Sided Tape

I bought a couple of cargo nets and was ready to impress my family… until I realized the mounts needed screws. And the more I researched, the more I realized I absolutely did not want to play “Find the Hidden Wire” inside my car.

So I thought: double‑sided tape? Great — except the original mounts have tiny bases, and I didn’t trust them to hold weighted object long.

Solution: I designed this upgraded mount with a 50 mm wide flat base made specifically for strong double‑sided tape such as 3M VHB. No screws, no stress, no accidental car damage.

Now the cargo nets are mounted solidly and cleanly as shown in the photo.

🖨️ Printing Tips

I printed this with a dual‑nozzle setup: PETG for the main body and PLA for the support.

I added a small removal gap in the support so it comes off cleanly.

Removal steps:

• Cut off the support tree trunks
• Insert a flat‑head screwdriver into the gap

• Pry gently — the support pops off in ring‑shaped sections

  

Simple, clean, and no wrestling with stubborn supports.
