Description
PC Fan Turbo Exhaust Adapter
A tapered PC case fan exhaust adapter inspired by rocket nozzle and turbo exhaust designs. The purpose of this design is to help guide and accelerate airflow, reducing turbulence and improving cooling efficiency inside the case.
This project includes three different versions:
- 30mm height
- 34mm height
- 36mm height
Each version also uses a slightly different taper angle to help balance airflow characteristics and fan motor performance. Users can experiment with different versions to find the best result for their own case and fan setup.
Real World Testing
Tested on a system with:
- Ryzen 7 5700X
- RTX 3080 Ti
Using two adapters installed on the front intake fans.
Results were measured using multiple 3DMark stress tests with no changes made to fan curves or tuning.
Results
- Before: ~71°C GPU temperature
- After installation: ~67-70°C GPU temperature
- Temperature reduction: approximately 1-4°C depending on workload
After additional fan curve optimization:
- GPU temperature reached approximately 65°C under full GPU load
Print Information
- Designed for FDM printing
- No supports required
- Multiple height options included
- Easy to print and scalable if needed
