If you are tired of printing in the dark or dealing with harsh, direct LED blinding, this upgrade integrates a sleek, low-profile snap-on track along with a dedicated translucent diffuser channel. The diffuser softens the light evenly across the entire build plate, giving you the perfect layout for monitoring your first layers, recording crisp timelapses, or showing off your prints.

The kit prints cleanly in modular components. It features updated frame-mounting clips that lock rigidly onto the A2L top rail, providing a rock-solid, wobble-free fit without requiring any permanent alterations to your printer.

Required Components & Hardware

To complete this lighting setup, you will need a standard USB-powered LED light strip kit.

• Recommended LED Strip Kit
• Assembly: Simply press-fit the LED strip along the printed main track, wire it through, and slide the diffuser panel into place if you want to use it.

Recommended Print Settings

Because these parts clip directly onto the printer frame and sit near the upper motion components, maintaining structural integrity and preventing material relaxation is crucial:

• Recommended Material: PETG, ASA, or ABS is highly recommended for the structural frame mounting arms and light track to avoid long-term deformation. Standard PLA is ok for these tensioned mechanical clips. But it may not hold up.
• Diffuser Material: Print the diffuser strip using Translucent/Clear PETG/PLA or a thin layer of Natural/White PETG/PLA to achieve the best light diffusion.
• Walls: 3 to 4 wall loops for robust flexibility in the snap clips.
• Infill: 20–25% Gyroid for the structural tracks.
