When sliding your lighter in, you will feel a distinct resistance exactly five times. That is the integrated spring-clamp mechanism locking it in place with a highly satisfying click-click-click-click-click:

Once fully inserted, it sits incredibly secure and won't wobble or slip out, since the spring clamps hold it in place. To swap lighters, simply use the clever push-hole at the bottom, as the fit is intentionally too tight to just pull it out from the top.  

Filament recommendation:

This design is fully compatible with all standard materials like PLA or PETG. However, to really make the organic bubble shapes pop, I highly recommend using Galaxy, glitter, translucent, transparent or dual/tri-color filaments for stunning visual effects.

A quick note on material choice: If you use brittle filaments like some Silk or Matte PLAs with lower layer adhesion, the internal spring contacts might give way upon insertion. Don't worry at all—the case will still hold your lighter perfectly fine, it just might not be reusable for a second one. But let's face it: I’ve never managed to actually empty a BIC lighter before losing it anyway! 😉I was worried about material creep with this spring clamp design but it proofed sturdy over several months and even very stiff materials kept being reuseable.
