AAM-36 Scimitar – Scale adapted to COBI Jets
This model represents the AAM-36 Scimitar from the game Nuclear Option and was developed as an addition for modern jet models.
The Scimitar is one of the most well-known air-to-air missiles in the game and is characterized by its large design and striking appearance. The model is visually based on the game's original and has been optimized for reliable printing on common FDM 3D printers.
Scale
Since no official dimensions are available for the AAM-36 Scimitar, the model was not created to an exactly defined scale.
Instead, the size was chosen so that the missile visually fits well with COBI aircraft and other models in the approximate 1:48 range.
Applications
The Scimitar is perfect for:
- Nuclear Option inspired loadouts
- modern air superiority configurations
- alternative or futuristic scenarios
- collector and display models
Due to its size and striking design, it clearly stands out from classic air-to-air missiles.
The pins can be deleted if necessary via the object mode. Simply delete objects 10 and 11.
Background: AAM-36 Scimitar
In the game Nuclear Option, the AAM-36 Scimitar is a long-range air-to-air missile for use against high-value airborne targets. Due to its size and range, it is one of the most distinctive weapon systems in the game and is immediately recognizable to many players.
Development
This model was designed at the request of Kit2925 and then specially optimized for 3D printing. The focus was on good printability, stable construction, and a design that is as faithful as possible to the game's original.

Cobi offers the individual jets in many different (especially color) versions, which, however, should not affect compatibility with my models, with a few exceptions (see above). If you find any other exceptions, feel free to write to me!
